Types of Visa in Saudi Arabia
Work Visa
Issued to foreigners upon employment in KSA. An eligible applicant must have a job offer from an employer in Saudi Arabia
Diplomatic & Official Visa
Issued to applicants who intend to visit Saudi Arabia for Diplomatic/Official purpose.
Tourist Visa
This visa is eligible for the applicants who aim to visit KSA for sightseeing and tourism purpose only.
Transit Visa
Travellers who need to fly to a different destination with transit at Saudi Arabia are to get a Transit Visa. He/she might not need a transit visa if they are travelling via Dammam (DMM), Jeddah (JED) or Riyadh (RUH) international airport.
Business Visit Visa
Foreigners planning to visit KSA for business purpose including meetings, conferences, training, business deals etc. are to obtain a business visa.
Premium Residency Visa
With the approval of the Council of Ministers, an applicant can get a Premium Residency Visa that coordinates with all sectors and state agencies to implement Premium Residency System. A holder of this visa can obtain a distinctive residence in Saudi Arabia through its electronic services system, its various departments, and its direct contact with customers from everywhere.
A newborn can be added to a Saudi Residence Card upon application of a Newborn Visa. In this case, the newborn’s parents’ passports and residence cards are required.
Extension of Exit/Re-Entry Visa
If an applicant needs to extend his/her entry/exit visa, he/she needs to apply for it before his/her visa validity comes to an end.
Family Visit Visa
If the applicant is planning to visit his/her family or relatives staying in KSA, he/she will need an invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Government and thus get a visa to visit his/her family.
Companion Visa
The applicant can visit his/her companion who lives in KSA with proof of their marriage (marriage certificate) through this visa.
Hajj and Umrah Visa
Travellers intending to perform Hajj or Umrah need to get this Visa prior to their expected date to entry in KSA.
Student Visa
In order to study being in KSA, an individual needs to obtain a Student Visa. But before that, he/she first needs to be accepted in an authorized institute or university in the KSA.
